A thank you to one of our favourite readers, and fellow property eccentrics – Sam – who came up with a good suggestion. That we let folk know the answer to competitions. Dozily we hadn’t even reckoned this might be of interest. Almost 4 years of online competitions and we are finally getting around to remedying this. So here is the answer to the last competition’s guess the location photo of a very obscure brick building with the cryptic clue…

This is of course a reference to the film A Bridge Too Far.

Reverse-engineering the clue might have helped you find the location of the small building on the nearby shore that we featured as our competition quiz during May and June 2015. The view from that little building is of the Forth Rail Bridge – which has, incidentally just been awarded Unesco World Heritage status. Our congratulations to the two winners of this Unique Property Bulletin competition.

Whoever ends up with that unusual property (the small building, not the big bridge), will have one of the finest engineering views in the country. Genuinely iconic.

If you look at the picture immediately above, showing the Main Gate at Admiralty Arch, you can see Buckingham Palace. Your next door neighbour is HM Queen Elizabeth. For many the Admiralty Arch building complex represents a very interesting project. However, at the price being sought, it is probably one for the very big guns in the property world.
